Central records staff process all orders placed by MP Instrumentation. All incoming goods are batched and priced to allow accurate charging and quality control. Progressing undelivered goods is a major part of the service provided to MP Instrumentation.
Another service provided by central records is the processing of the job requests for the repair and maintenance workshops from the initial 'logging-in' of the job through to final costing.
Commercial service contracts are held on some major and specialised items of equipment. These contracts are evaluated, managed and monitored by Central Records.
Central Records also provide a dispatch service for goods and equipment leaving the department.
Support Services is also responsible for the computer applications that allow the department to carry out its day to day work, with in-house software to document and track all of our repair and maintenance work accessing MySQL databases.
While the hospital's ICT department provides desktop hardware, networking and general support, we run various technical packages for CAD and image/data processing, and support for these is from within the department. Support Services general expertise with computer applications often makes them a responsive first port of call for general software help within the department.
