We accept students from other Universities to carry out their clinical elective placement.

We can offer students a maximum of an eight week period, and there is a fee of £200 which is payable on return of an application form which will be sent to you if you are accepted to carry out a clinical elective placement.

  • Rheumatology
  • Surgery - General
  • Urology

All international (non-EU) students will need to apply for a full tier 4 Student Visa in order to undertake an elective placement at Dundee.

Accommodation in the Nurses Residences of the hospital is available on request.

There is no formal teaching programme. You'll will join in all the clinical activities and participate in teaching rounds, case conferences, etc, that are held regularly in the various units and specialities.
