Muthu Rama Krishnan Mookiah

Postdoctoral Research Assistant


Muthu R K Mookiah is a postdoctoral researcher in the Division of Molecular & Clinical Medicine, School of Medicine, University of Dundee. He did his postdoctoral research in the Medical Engineering and Design group at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) prior to joining UoD. He received his PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur), India in 2012. He was awarded MHRD fellowship to pursue his PhD. His PhD work focused on histopathological image analysis for computer aided diagnosis of oral submucous fibrosis. He is an editorial board member for Journal of Medical Imaging and Health Informatics (JMIHI). He worked as a R&D Project Engineer for 6 years at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore before joining SUTD. His major interests are medical image analysis, pattern recognition, data mining, and visualization.
