Research Assistant in Chronic Pain

Biography

Magda is a research assistant with the chronic pain research group and was appointed to her current post in November 2017. Prior to this she graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2015 with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and then completed an MSc at the University of Stirling in Health Psychology.

Magda is currently working with Professor Blair Smith, Professor Lesley Colvin and Dr Paul Cameron to develop national outcomes for chronic pain services.

Research

Magda is involved in research which aims to determine the most appropriate methods for collecting data in NHS Pain Services across Scotland, in order to measure service provision, outcomes and improvement. One of the main objectives of this project is to develop a Core Dataset for Chronic Pain. Another development from this study is the creation of Quality Performance Indicators (QPIs) for Chronic Pain.
