Published paper details new models to explore cancer drug efficacy

A paper from the laboratory of Professor Roland Wolf and Dr Colin Henderson, which is situated in the Jacqui Wood Cancer Centre at Ninewells, has been published in the latest edition of Clinical Cancer Research. The paper focuses on the development of models in the laboratory which enable detailed prediction of how drugs can be developed and applied in a clinical setting. Lord Provost of Dundee becomes 200,000th signatory on SHARE register

The Lord Provost of Dundee, Ian Borthwick, has become the 200,000th signatory to a unique database helping researchers to carry out ground-breaking medical research. He signed up for the Scottish Health Research Register (SHARE) when he welcomed the world-renowned diabetes researcher Dr V Mohan to the city on Monday 12 March to discuss a major new Scotland-India clinical partnership to combat diabetes. As part of the School’s focus on ensuring the delivery of high-standard teaching in the MBChB curriculum, the Undergraduate Team held its most recent away day at West Park Conference Centre, Dundee. Honorary professorship rounds off TORT team's trip to India

Professor Rami Abboud, Associate Dean for Learning and Teaching and Head of Postgraduate Division, School of Medicine, has been awarded an honorary professorship from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and the Sancheti Institute for Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation. This accolade recognises Professor Abboud's longstanding contribution to orthopaedics and acknowledges 14 years of collaboration with staff and students from the Sancheti Institute.
