This database can be accessed via the Library A-Z Resources

For off campus access, use your University of Dundee username and password.

Contents:  The Web of Science (Core Collection) is one of today's premier research platforms and provides a comprehensive database, indexing all subject areas within the sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities, from 1900 onwards.  From the 'Select a database' menu, you can also find other specialized databases, such as the Medline index, (index to medical and related subjects) and the Derwent innovations index (covering patent and citation searches of inventions in electrical and mechanical engineering).

Journal Citation Reports (journal ranking) are also available via the top menu, along with Essential Science Indicators (shows emerging science trends, and influential institutions, papers and individuals in your field of research).

EndNote (online version) is available through the Web of Science interface, and may be used independently, or in conjunction with your full Desktop version of EndNote, to help you manage bibliographic citations and create bibliographies and citations within essays and other documents.

To use the databases fully, (for example saving records or searches), you need to set up a personal login to the site, by going to 'Sign in' and 'Register'.  Each of the databases feature 'getting started' or Help Guides, and there is a YouTube channel for Web of Science Training.
