New Discovery portal news

Discovery is the digital repository that brings all the research carried out at the University of Dundee together in one place. It holds over 34,000 records of journal articles, books, conference papers, datasets, exhibitions, and works of art produced by University of Dundee researchers over the past 50 years.

Staff, students and the public can see what researchers at the University are working on and who they are collaborating with.

Each researcher at the University can have a profile on Discovery giving them a central and secure space to store and showcase their work. This makes Discovery a great tool for finding and connecting with new research collaborators.

It is also a handy resource for students wanting to find out more about a particular subject. Full-text copies of the latest journal articles, book chapters and conference papers produced at the University of Dundee are made freely available to read and download, whenever possible.

Records on the Discovery Research Portal are indexed by internet search engines. This makes them easy to find online and increases the visibility of research produced at the University of Dundee.

Research post-graduate students can archive the final version of their thesis in Discovery. There are currently over 1100 theses written by University of Dundee students held in Discovery, many of which are freely available to download.

The Discovery Research Portal is supported by Research Services in the Main Library. For more information contact discovery@dundee.ac.uk
