Contents: JoVE (Journal of Visualised Experiments) is an online scientific video journal covering subjects such as Biology, Neuroscience, Immunology, Medicine, Bioengineering, Engineering, Chemistry, Environment, Behavior, Developmental Biology.
Features: Since 2006 JoVE has published scientific research in a visual format that assists researchers in overcoming two major challenges facing the scientific research community today; poor reproducibility and the time and labour intensive aspects of learning new experimental techniques.
- All JoVE articles are indexed in subject-relevant indexing sites including PubMed/MEDLINE, SciFinder and Scopus.
- Publishing in JoVE allows authors to present their methods, data analysis and results, accurately and professionally with the guidance of JoVE's videographers and editors.
- JoVE has published thousands of video articles from top research institutions.
JoVE Science Education database now features closed captions. This will expand accessibility and usability of this innovative video resource, especially to hearing-impaired students. Review a sample. Adding this new feature is especially beneficial as JoVE Science Education and its subscriber base are rapidly growing after addition of new modules in Psychology and Environmental Science.
