You said - Can the new mid-floor be a Quiet Zone? We did   - At the request of students we have made the new mid-floor a Quiet Zone.  This covers all open areas on this floor.  If you are not sure of what the difference is between our Silent, Quiet and General study zones please see our guide below.   Study Zones A guide to the zoning of study spaces.   Silent study For individual, silent study. We are aware that a small number of users are trying to access BoB using Internet Explorer 10, and some other outdated unsupported browsers, which may appear to work at first, but will invariably interrupt playback of BoB content after 9 seconds.  We recommend the following browsers for BoB:   • Internet Explorer 11 (or later) • Edge 12 (or later) • Mozilla Firefox 44 (or later) • Safari 8 (or later) • Google Chrome 48 (or later)...

New access gates in Main Library

To improve security, and help us better manage the building, we have installed access gates. Remember your card when you come to the building, and tap to enter and leave.  New student and staff ID cards should automatically work, as do some existing cards. If yours doesn't, we can very quickly activate it.  If the gate light turns green when you tap on the entry disc your card will work, if the light turns red a member of staff will be on hand to activate your card. ‌...

Opening soon, the first floor refurbishment includes five new student-bookable rooms, spaces for collaborative study, an ultra-quiet room and a relaxation area. There is a postgraduate suite and an area for communication by phone or web-conferencing. You'll notice that we've named these areas after notable Dundee locations. Summer improvements in our Fife Campus Library

Over the summer, our Fife Campus Library has implemented some exciting new changes to improve the student experience. ‌ Along with a beautiful new carpet, and updated comfortable seating, there are also new lockers for students to leave their belongings (keys are available at the desk), more power points and desk space for personal use, and improved WiFi and gorgeous new touchscreen monitors provided by UoD IT. ‌ The Library is available for use for all University of Dundee students, and we encourage you to stop by and make use of our wonderful new improvements....
