Future Science OA Agreement

The Library and Learning Centre has concluded an agreement with Future Science which gives University of Dundee authors a 25% discount on the cost of the Article Processing Charge when publishing in Future Science OA. Future Science OA is an online, open access, peer-reviewed title from the Future Science Group. The journal's broad coverage includes all areas of biotechnology and medicine, as well as topics in biological, life and physical sciences that are of relevance to human health. Noisy Neighbours has started again in Main Library

Noisy Neighbours is running in the Main Library again this semester. This joint DUSA / LLC initiative was introduced to encourage students to be considerate of their fellow library users whilst studying in the Silent Zones. Springer Open Access Agreement

The Library and Learning Centre has signed a new Jisc agreement with Springer that covers all Article Processing Charges (APCs) for articles published in Springer Open Choice (hybrid) journals (see http://www.springer.com/gp/open-access/springer-open-choice/for-uk-authors-intro/731990 for further details). This means that with effect from 15th October 2015 you do not need to pay Springer an APC to make your article open access in a Springer Open Choice journal as we have already paid for it as part of this new agreement. New prize competition seeks innovative ideas to advance open science

Applicants asked to develop new products or services to harness the power of "big data" to improve health.
