Period Power Project

Currently, in the Main Library foyer, part of our display is helping to promote the 'Period Power Project'.  The project is being hosted by the University's Student Funding Unit.

Dundee graduate Amy Mclaughlin, who has been working with Student Services on the project, said, "The Period Power Project aims to increase menstrual education.  The books included in the leisure library collection cover areas from:

  • The first period in adolescence to the process of menopause
  • The science of the menstrual cycle and menopause
  • The harmful effects of period poverty
  • Menstrual justice and equality
  • LGBT+ inclusive education

See other titles from the collection below. Hover over the book cover to see the title/author and select 'Check availability' to view in Library Search and if available as an e-book, sign in to access the full text.

These books will feature in the display cabinets and the library's leisure collection.  Please feel free to browse and learn something new!  You can also access free and sustainable (including re-usable options) by visiting the Student Funding Unit during the opening hours (10am-1pm, 2pm-4pm)."
