Improvements to Main Library entrance

The entrance of our Main Library has been given an update over the summer.  Along with freshly painted walls and a new recyling area we have replaced the old display cabinets with new ones.  We have also added a new large signage screen so we can keep you up to date with what's happening in the Library and Learning Centre. The display this month includes a selection of titles added to the School Services Library collection.  If you want to borrow any of the books in the display you can request them in the usual manner, or borrow them directly by asking staff in the Infozone....

Jisc Online Surveys plan to make some changes on Tuesday 9 July 2019 which will require their technical team to take Online Surveys offline for a short period between 17:00 – 17:30 BST. This means that Online Surveys will not be accessible by users or respondents. This is outwith the control of the University of Dundee. Westlaw UK - New interface

This Summer, Westlaw UK is moving to a new interface, which includes features such as a new folder system (with additional sharing and annotation options), and a new ‘legislation comparison’ tool. At the moment, both versions, new and old, are available.  This is to give you the opportunity to re-set up any alerts, or folders, as these will not migrate across to the new platform.  From 5th August 2019, only the new Westlaw interface will be available. Changes to Lynda.com on Monday 15 July

Lynda.com (video learning resources) will be changing to LinkedIn Learning on Monday 15th July 2019.  Users who have setup profiles in Lynda.com will find their learning activities and history will be transferred across to LinkedIn Learning, and after the upgrade they will receive an email to activate their new LinkedIn Learning Account.  Whilst activating their new account users will also have an opportunity to join LinkedIn Learning with their LinkedIn Profile, if they so wish.  Note that you can opt to have a LindedIn Learning account only, not joined to your LindedIn Profile (if you have...
