Why we're doing it

This study is being undertaken as part of a project at the Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science (LRCFS) at the University of Dundee. We wish to undertake some research work which involves analysis of how footwear marks are made. The aim of the study is to generate knowledge for Forensic Scientists to aid crime scene analysis.

Participation

It is up to you to decide if you would like to take part or not. Your participation is voluntary and you are free to withdraw from the study at any time, without having to give a reason, however once you have submitted your data it may not be possible to remove it from the study. You will not receive any payment for taking part in this study.

Risks

There is a risk of slipping during the activity. Please make sure you do the activity on a flat surface and tape the test paper down where possible. Please also make sure to clean your shoes after making the footwear marks.
