PhD Title:
The Legal Frame Work on Investment Disputes Arbitration

My research concerns the arbitration of investment disputes between States and investors. This study seeks to explore how investment dispute arbitration is understood and applied in the contemporary world, with particular focus on Arabic investment treaties.

The issue of investor-State arbitration has been widely discussed by academics and judiciary under some international or regional investment treaties, such as ICSID and NAFTA. Under other regional treaties, however, the matter remains ambiguous. One example of the latter is the Arabic investment treaties. The aim of this study is to reveal this ambiguity.
