Law was one of the disciplines contributing to the Northern Ireland Teachers and Advisers' Conference held by the University in Belfast on 8 June.  Professor Colin Reid spoke about what is on offer at Dundee and impending changes to legal education in England and Wales, alongside colleagues from Business, Life Sciences, Medicine and Science & Engineering. On Saturday 20 May Professor Peter McEleavy and Senior International Officer Fahd Asif took the University of Dundee's 50th Anniversary celebrations to Nigeria.  Over 100 alumni and guests, many from Law, attended a dinner at the Sheraton hotel in Lagos, watched a video address from University Principal Sir Pete Downes and heard alumni Patricia Udogu and Feso Bright reflect on their experiences in Scotland.  The event, which was supported by the Lagos Caledonian Society, further reinforces Dundee's strong connections to Nigeria which date back to the charitable work of Mary Slessor in Calabar in ...

Dundee Team Shines in International Competition

The Dundee team did extremely well in this year’s Telders International Moot Court Competition. The team, consisting of Ruby Davies, Christie Allan, Blythe Petrie and Christiane Schleich, came 14th in the international competition, which each year sees hundreds of law students from all over Europe compete in a mock trial before the International Court of Justice. Charlotte White, who participated in the competition last year, assisted as a coach.  The team has been preparing for the competition for the whole academic year, as part of the Telders Moot Module, and their hard work clearly paid off....
