Inter-University Mooting at Dundee

The Scrymgeour Building played host to the DWF Lord Jones Mooting Competition on Saturday 25th February.  Organised by students from the Dundee Mooting Society, the competition saw teams from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Strathclyde and Dundee Law Schools compete in presenting legal arguments as if in an appeal court, assessed by academic staff, practitioners and senior judges.  The competition, being run in this form for the first time, was held in memory of Dundee alumnus Mike Jones, who was a judge in the Court of Session and served as Honorary President of the Dundee Mooting Society.  At th...

Final year law students Ruby Davies, Christiane Schleich, Christie Allan and Blythe Petrie have been selected to represent the University of Dundee in this year’s Telders International Law Moot Court Competition.  Each year, teams from all over Europe compete in national rounds.
