Why study Law at Dundee?

Dundee was the first law school in the UK to offer two fully qualifying law degrees for the legal profession either in Scotland or in England and Wales, and Northern Ireland. We also offer a dual qualifying degree in both Scots and English Law, giving our graduates a significant competitive advantage in the marketplace.

The LLB with Languages offers the opportunity to combine the study of either Scots or English Law with French, German or Spanish. This option is available to English, Scots and dual qualifying students. The Law School encourages overseas exchanges and has links with many European universities. Law students have also won places on the University's exchanges with universities in Hong Kong and Australia.

We also offer our LLB Law with Oil and Gas Law. This new programme is an exciting addition to our series of fully qualifying LLB degree programmes. Students will spend their entire final year of undergraduate study developing a detailed knowledge and expertise in this key commercial field.

Dundee has produced many celebrated law graduates and our staff are often leaders in their field. We maintain very strong links with the legal profession locally and nationally. Dundee Law School has a strong focus on employability and careers support and many students assist with our award winning Law Clinic.
