"Ignorance of the law is no excuse"
How often have you heard that phrase - but do you really know the law? Do you rent property - have a proper lease? - know the law in relation to inheritance for 'step' children? - understand the rights of couples who cohabit? - understand about the courts and know what would be expected of you if you were cited to be a witness? - know your rights when buying goods over the internet? Dundee Law School can help you know and understand your rights - and responsibilities.
We have particular expertise for CPD in the fields of International Dispute Resolution, Freedom of Information, Environmental Law - particularly in a Scottish context, Healthcare, Criminal Law and Vulnerable witnesses, Expert evidence, Charity Law and Intellectual Property. We involve local practitioners, who are experts in their fields to assist in teaching these and other areas of law.
We offer flexible and bespoke training which we can deliver in numerous ways, including day conference, lunch or evening seminar, small group workshops - at the weekend or by e-learning. We invite you to participate in our ongoing CPD programme or contact us to discuss specific training needs.
