Skype for Business

Skype for Business is offered as part of the Microsoft Office suite and brings an efficient way to quickly connect with colleagues and business partners.
It can be used for instant messaging, calling, video calling, sharing and collaboration all rolled into one package.

Setting up your account

How to add Skype for Business on your PC/laptop

  • Sign in to your University email account
  • Click on the cog  icon (top right hand corner)
  • Under 'My app settings', choose 'Office 365'
  • Click on 'Software'
  • Under 'Office', download the Microsoft Office suite by clicking 'Install'

Skype for Business is installed by default on the University's Staff Desktop.

How to sign-in to Skype for Business

  • Launch Skype for Business on your device
    On the University's Staff Desktop it can be found at the 'Start Menu'> 'All Programs' > 'Microsoft Office 2013' directory
  • In the 'sign-in address' field, enter your University username followed by @dundee.ac.uk
    e.g. jbloggs@dundee.ac.uk
  • Enter your University password in the 'password' field
  • Click 'Sign In'
