The Collaborative Code of Practice supports the University of Dundee to successfully develop and manage academic related partnerships.  The Collaborative Code of Practice supersedes the previously used International Collaborations Toolkit, and encapsulates guidance related to developing, delivering and monitoring teaching collaborations.

The Collaborative Code of Practice applies to the following types of partnership, this list is not exhaustive and where a new partnership does not fall within these predefined categories the Collaborative Partnership Sub-Committee (CPSC) will determine if it is within the scope of the Code of Practice:

a)       Memorandums of Understanding

b)       Study Abroad

c)       Articulations

d)       Validation

e)       Franchise

f)        Joint, Dual, Double and Multiple Degrees (Taught and Research)

g)       Branch Campus

h)       Distance Delivery

i)        Continuing Professional Development partnerships

To ensure that all new collaborations are appropriately strategic and high-quality, all staff must refer to and use the appropriate guidance and forms prior to any binding discussion or negotiations with an external partner. Schools should also make contact with the Global Partnerships at an early stage for professional support in the assessment, business planning, and contract negotiation of any agreement.
