Oxford International is an accredited private education provider that runs colleges, schools, study centres and educational tours across the UK and North America. Our courses help over 25,000 UK and international students achieve academic success every year.
Since Oxford International was founded in 1991 as ISIS Education and Travel by David Brown and Robert Darell, we have grown from a small education provider to a large group of companies who provide a world-class education in language learning, university pathways, A Level and GCSE courses, and education-focused student experiences.
- Educational Tours: Oxford International began in 1991 by operating outbound tours for UK university students throughout the academic year. Since then we have developed study-oriented trips for secondary schools and have also brought specialist providers into the Oxford International family, adding their expertise to our own in areas such as ancient history tours. We now host over 12,000 students on these educational tours every year.
- Language learning: Since 1991, Oxford International has grown to own and run a number of high-quality language schools in the UK and around the globe, including the Greenwich School of English, the Brighton School of English, the Vancouver Maple Leaf College family of language schools in Canada, and UIC English London Central, the largest independent college teaching over 10 foreign languages. Through our Bucksmore programme, we also offer bespoke English language programmes in the homes of qualified and experienced teachers.
- Colleges: Over the past 20 years, our Oxford Tutorial College has built a reputation for being the best tutorial college in Oxford. With the launch of the Oxford Pathway Foundation Programme in September 2010, its pre-university courses now offer an alternative way to prepare for university. In 2013, we were very proud to partner with De Montfort University to open and run the De Montfort University International College in the heart of the fantastic De Montfort campus. The success of this programme has also enabled us to partner with Bangor University, the University of Dundee, and the University of Greenwich in offering similar high-quality university pathways for international students.
- Schools: d'Overbroeck's Oxford is a leading co-educational day and boarding school in Oxford. Established in 1977, d'Overbroeck's has built a very strong reputation for its distinctive and highly successful ethos and for the excellence of its educational provision.
The Prince’s Trust
In launching Oxford International, the founders turned to The Prince’s Trust for financial investment and advice. Oxford International has grown to be one of the top 10 businesses sponsored by the Trust, and still remains closely associated with it today.
In May 2014, the founders David Brown and Robert Darell were honoured to be invited to a reception at Kensington Palace to meet HRH Prince of Wales, who was delighted to hear of the progress that Oxford International had made since his charity first helped them launch the company back in 1991.
International College Dundee is operated by Oxford International Education Group in partnership with the University of Dundee. The University of Dundee is a key partner in our portfolio of embedded international colleges, through which Oxford International offers pathways for international students into a full and exciting range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
