Dr Daniel Cook, Senior Lecturer in English at the University of Dundee, will be delivering the keynote lecture at the Satire: Deaths, Births, and Legacies conference at York St John University on 2nd June. His topic will be the extraordinary legacy of the Irish satirist Jonathan Swift, author of Gulliver's Travels, A Tale of a Tub, and other works. Dr Cook has published widely on the life and works of Swift, and he is currently completing a monograph on the satirist and a new critical edition of Gulliver's Travels. It's alive! Dundee Comics Creative Space goes to London

Dr Daniel Cook (Senior Lecturer in English) and Dr Golnar Nabizadeh (Lecturer in Comics) will lead a team of artists from Dundee Comics Creative Space on an excursion to Senate House in London this week, where they have been invited to showcase their work as part of the annual Living Literature series. The University of Dundee has been ranked among the top universities in the United Kingdom – and 2nd in Scotland – in the 2018 Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey.
