Published on Mon 6 Jan 2020
Congratulations to Dr Lynda Clark, who’s interactive work The Memory Archivist has been shortlisted for the New Media Writing Prize 2019. Lynda is a Research Fellow with us in the School of Humanities, University of Dundee, working on the InGame project.
The New Media Writing Prize showcases exciting and inventive stories and poetry that integrate a variety of formats, platforms, and digital media. Now in its 10th year, the international prize encourages and promotes the best in new media writing. The winner will be announced on 15th January at an awards ceremony at Bournemouth University.
The Memory Archivist, also won the Artistic Award at the British Library Labs Awards in November 2019. It is an interactive narrative based on her research on UK interactive fiction undertaken during an AHRC Innovation Placement on Emerging Formats at the British Library. The work aims to show some of the difficulties associated with, and benefits arising from, collecting complex digital works.
Good luck for the awards on 15th January Lynda!
