12th Biennial Symbiosis Conference

The University of Dundee will host the 12th Biennial Symbiosis conference, designed to celebrate all areas of Transatlantic literary exchange.

Symbiosis is a journal dedicated to the studies of transatlantic literary and cultural relations between the British Isles and the Americas and was established in 1997.

This year, speakers will arrive in Dundee from all over the world to present papers that are related to the following three special themes:

  • Bicentenaries: Transatlantic Herman Melville and George Eliot (celebrating the 200th anniversary of their births)
  • comics
  • Transatlantic Crime Fiction
