Think Ahead Humanities - Postgraduate Study

We invite all Humanities students and staff to this information session about further study options. In particular we would like to see Honours students thinking of undertaking further studies by way of a Masters program or PhD, however the event is open to everyone in Humanities.

*Pizza and squash will be served!* *Please RSVP to for catering purposes*

We will have a mixed panel of speakers from across Humanities – staff and postgraduate students - who will speak about various aspects of postgraduate study and the diverse uses of research degrees, within and beyond academia. Martyna Lasowska from Careers, will also present information on career planning, which will provide practical next steps about gaining work experience, and the like.

The event will be arranged via two 1-hour segments; in the first hour, each speaker from the panel will present their guidance and professional career experiences. The second hour will comprise an informal session where staff and students can mingle and chat about further study options and related queries.

We plan this gathering as part of an on-going series of information sessions designed to meet student needs in terms of their career and employment trajectories. To this end, please feel free to email Golnar ( with thoughts and ideas about what you would be interested in finding out in relation to careers and employment. This will help us plan upcoming information sessions.
