2012/2013 National Pay Negotiations

The University has been advised by UCEA that the 2012/2013 national pay round has been concluded.  This has resulted in a 1% pay increase, backdated to 1 August 2012, for all non-clinical staff paid on the University single pay spine.  The increase and arrears will be paid with the salary payments for December. Contribution Related Points (2012)

Contribution Related Points are the salary levels beyond the top of each grade on the university payscales.  Contribution Related Points are awarded on a permanent basis to recognise outstanding performance. A policy for the award of Contribution Related Points (CRPs) has been agreed with the campus unions.  Staff eligible for nomination for CRPs will be staff who are either at the top of their grade in the current year (i.e. as of 1 January 2012) or who are already on a CRP. HERA Maintenance Procedure 2012

Dear ColleaguesThe HERA Maintenance Procedure, is the procedure by which staff and Deans of School/Heads of Unit can request the grade of a role to be reviewed. The HERA Maintenance Procedure applies to all clerical, technical, manual and academic related roles (i.e. roles not covered by the nationally agreed academic role profiles). 2011/2012 National Pay Award

I write to confirm that 2011/12 pay round has concluded and we have been advised by UCEA (Universities & Colleges Employers Association) to implement the final settlement which is a consolidated increase of £150 on each spinal point of the nationally agreed single pay spine, effective from 1 August 2011. The revised pay spine can be found within the Salary Scale section on the Payroll website. The new spinal points will be implemented with the January salary run when backpay will also be paid.
