Update - Adverse Weather Conditions

We have just been informed that the Tay Road Bridge has been closed to all traffic.  There are no indications being given at present as to when it may re-open. The University will remain operating as usual.  However, staff who require to travel over the bridge may wish to review their travel arrangements for this evening and discuss any alteration to their normal working pattern with their line manager. Adverse Weather Conditions

We would like to confirm that the University is remaining open. We are aware the Tay Road and Rail Bridges are currently closed and that some schools in Perthshire have closed, however, all Dundee and Angus schools remain open for the moment. We will continue to monitor the situation and should the position change we will issue further guidance. Any staff who are affected by any school closures should consult their line manager. Day of Action (30 November 2011)

Staff will be aware of the planned national day of action on Wednesday of this week.  In response to questions from staff, I would like to clarify the following points: The University will remain open for business as usual. Regarding the three unions which we recognise; Unison and UNITE are not participating in the strike action. We have been formally notified that DUCU will be participating in the strike.
