HERA Maintenance Procedure 2012

Dear Colleagues

The HERA Maintenance Procedure, is the procedure by which staff and Deans of School/Heads of Unit can request the grade of a role to be reviewed. The HERA Maintenance Procedure applies to all clerical, technical, manual and academic related roles (i.e. roles not covered by the nationally agreed academic role profiles).

Re-grading of roles covered by the nationally agreed academic role profiles (academic and research roles) is via the College Annual Review Group (CASARG).  This process is underpinned by HERA and the HERA role outline form is required as part of the submission to CASARG. (Information regarding the 2012 Annual Review for these roles will be available shortly.)

Applications for regrading through the Maintenance Procedure must be made using the HERA Regrading Request Form and submitted with supporting documentation as detailed in the Guidance on Submissions.

Applications should be submitted to the College/SASS HR Office by 31 May 2012.
