SIMD20 (Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation)

An applicant in the 20% most disadvantaged postcode areas of Scotland

Check your postcode on the Scottish Government website

Unpaid Carer

An applicant who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member who, due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction, cannot cope without your support. 

Care Experienced

An applicant who is or has been ‘a looked after person.’

Refugee/Asylum Seeker/Humanitarian protection

An applicant with a recognised status as either Refugee, Asylum Seeker or under Humanitarian protection and resident in the UK.
