The Value of Nature

About

tatiana-zaugarova-profile

My work is inspired by the contrast between nature and geometric forms. I have explored the ways in which we, as humans, confine nature in non-organic environments, restricting it to rigid and structured forms. My fascination with these spaces has led me to discover that organic forms are not in fact confined within the geometry of shapes but are treasured, similarly jewellery in its box, the plants are being celebrated.

I have taken this inspiration and designed a collection that encapsulates the beauty of nature. Incorporated kinetic elements allow the wearer to build a personal relationship with the jewellery. The movement also brings a sense of value and appreciation of natural forms in connection to its environment. All elements are hand soldered one at a time, gradually bringing my ideas to life. Enhancing the precious elements of my theme, I am using silver and gold vermeil, culminating in a delicate collection that contrasts in geometry and nature. Each design unites the two contrasting worlds of organic and man-made in a cohesive, yet unique way.
