I am a Graphic designer that uses a combination of illustration and design to create unique outcomes.
About
I am a Graphic Designer whose passions include design, illustration and photography. If given the opportunity I try and blend all of my skills into a brief.
This year, I worked on briefs that allowed me to demonstrate my abilities while also learning new skills. My primary interests are branding and packaging, I also wanted to push myself by creating a campaign. I worked on three briefs. The first brief, HATCH, the challenge was to create a drink brand and bottle that represented the country it came from; I picked Sri Lanka as my brand's origin because of my family roots there. The second brief was a D&AD submission, convincing people to download the new app, Duolingo Math. I created a collaboration between Duolingo and Disney Plus, as well as a poster campaign to promote it. My final project was a personal project focused on branding, I challenged myself to create a luxury perfume brand. Many luxury brands test on animals, so I set out to create an all-natural vegan company that shared my values.
HATCH
My drink is a Sri Lankan spirit called Arrack, it is made using traditional methods of toddy tapping where men climb tall palm trees to collect sap from coconut flowers. I wanted my brand to represent the people who made it so I illustrated a toddy tapper on the front label.
Duolingo Math
I created a collaboration between Duolingo Math and Disney Plus in order to create more awareness of the math app. My idea was to have a notification appear before watching on Disney Plus, telling you to complete your math lesson. I created a poster campaign targeted at parents convincing them to download the app. I dressed the Duolingo mascot as well-known Disney characters to create a fun recognisable look.
Ana Aroma
I created three functional fragrances that alter your mood, aphrodisiac, energizing and relaxing. The design and colour reflects the moods of each fragrance. Made in Greece, where perfume originated, I was inspired by climate graphs for the design.
