Project 1

In collaboration with Daniel Milne, we created the clothing brand “Blondes Have More Fun” which aims to capture hedonistic youth culture through proactive imagery and bold, handwritten type. The brand is inspired by the philosophy of hedonism while drawing heavily from the aesthetics and attitudes of the 90s rave movement and punk subculture. The images shown are from my visual guide. I used a lot of collage techniques to create a raw, DIY feel to it.

Project 2

Over the past year I have designed the posters for Dundee based DJ Collective ‘Public House’. They specialise in playing dark electro and techno. I aim to encapsulate this genre of music into my work and produce designs which reflect the brand identity of the collective and the aesthetics of the underground dance scene.

Project 3

For this brief, we had to radically reimagine a non-copyrighted book. I chose Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’. The aim of my reimagining was to challenge the traditional story and to ask the reader, what if Romeo was a girl? The publication explores the key themes of love, death and socially problematic desire within the context of a queer relationship between two women, highlighting the intersection between gender and sexuality and the social complications linked with same sex desire.

Project 4

This film was made in collaboration with Callum Arthur. The aim was to create an emotional documentary style short film which evokes feelings of tranquillity and nostalgia.
