ARTadaption is a kit that helps encourages people with a visual impairment to get creative.

About

ARTadaption is designed to help encourage people with a visual impairment to get creative. Over 2 million people in the UK have a form of sight loss and around 340,000 of them are registered blind or partially sighted.

Drawing and painting on physical paper can be a little challenging for those with low vision.  ARTadaption aims to do is create a tactile experience within the drawing process, meaning that the user does not have to rely on just their eyes. This idea was inspired by Keith Salmon and John Bramblitt, who are both blind artists who use texture in a range of ways to create their pieces.

By using the press, the user can create blind impressions on the piece of pa-per and use the textured paint to creatively fill in the blanks.
