Six magazine spread mockups 2 x 3. The first is a Volcom ad. The second an intro spread. The third is an article title spread. The fourth is text and a few surf images taken by Sam Howard. The fifth is 3 images, one of a mountain bike, the next a wave and the final two people on a beach in California about to go surfing. Accompanied with text. The sixth is a Picture advert that shows the brand logo and a surfer.
The final 'with thanks' page within the dissertation, that says thank you to the Communication Futures module leader, the supervisor and the person who said "you're doin' great" in the dissertation survey. It also reads at the bottom of the page "Can I go outside now?"

A publication inspired by the outdoors, created in response to my final year dissertation project that focuses primarily on communication within mountain biking, surfing and sustainability. I structured my journalism topic as a selection of three informal articles, each individual article allows exploration of the different aspects within the overall topic.

re • work was created in response to the damaging effects the fast fashion industry has on people and the planet. The mission is to reduce fast fashion industry waste, extend the life of clothing and empower people is achieved through a re • pair, re • cycle, re • wear and re • think system – a system that provides jobs, services, and resources to keep clothes in use for longer.

ISTD - Lighthouses Of The World

DUMRCC & Surf

During my time at University, I have been a part of DUMRCC (Dundee University Mountain & Road Cycling Club) and Dundee University Surf Club. I have also been on the committee for both clubs: DUMRCC – Mountain Bike Captain (2020 – 2022), Surf – Media & Merch (2021 – 2022). Doing these roles gave me the opportunity to create t-shirts and design work for both clubs.
