The role of Marketing is to work in partnership with staff and student colleagues to raise the University's profile and engage a wide range of audiences in the markets in which we operate, from prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students and those who influence them, to the global academic community, funding councils, policy makers and business.

The marketing team are responsible for:

  • Raising the University's profile to support and develop its core areas of business (Learning and Teaching, Research, Wider Impact, Internationalisation and Employability, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship)
  • Maintaining the University's brand, along with the Design and Print teams
  • Establishing key corporate messages and target audiences
  • Devising campaigns to communicate specific messages to key audiences
  • Working with all teams within External Relations and across the University to bring together activities and ideas for communicating with target audiences
  • Investing in specific strategic marketing projects across the University to support the University's profile with target audiences
