Join NEoN Digital Arts, as we create robots from recycled computer parts. We will be using bites and bots taken from laptops, desktop pcs, keyboards and other motorised tech. Your robot creation will then join the exhibition of Resyke robots which run through the Festival, in the Keiller centre.
This workshop is part of NEoN Digital Art’s current programming ‘No room for E-waste’ which is about E-waste and its contribution to climate change. E-waste (electronic waste) includes anything with plugs, cords and electronic components. Through our programming, we aim to highlight the problems and offer creative solutions to tackling these.
We hope our participants will become e-waste makers, recyclers and repairers, and have more knowledgeable healthier minds. It might seem a simple idea - but fun and creative, repair initiatives such as this one could be part of a solution to the growing amount of electrical and electronic waste!
Venue: NeoN Workshop, Keiller Centre
