Did you know there are over 2,000 artefacts in the University of Dundee Museums’ medical collection? Join us for this tour of the Tayside Medical History Museum and discover artefacts ranging from a necklace believed to cure asthma to original bed plaques from Dundee Royal Infirmary. You’ll get to learn about some of the pioneering medical discoveries that occurred in Dundee and perhaps even get a look inside one of our stores.
Meet outside the Enquiry Centre on City Campus at 1.45pm. We will be leaving promptly to catch the bus so please do not be late. Alternatively, you can make your own way to Ninewells and join us at the Tayside Medical History Museum at 2:30pm outside the Gannochy Trust Lecture Theatre in the School of Medicine, level 7.
Museum Mooches are part of University of Dundee Museums’ well-being initiative. The aim is to encourage you to engage with arts and heritage and provide more diverse opportunities to benefit well-being. They will help us connect, be active, keep learning and be mindful. These events are aimed primarily at students and staff but anyone is welcome!
