This summer will see new participatory public performances in all four Nations produced in partnership with The Box, Plymouth, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, Mostyn Gallery Llandudno and The Playhouse in Derry-Londonderry.
Centred around themes of celebration, commemoration and demonstration, you can expect processions, performances, parades and parties that bring the National Gallery collections to life and round off the Bicentenary year.
In Dundee, Meet the Gods offers us a chance to collectively revel with Bacchus and friends in the heart of Dundee as DJCAD students demonstrate the power of the art school to produce collective joy whilst bringing the mythical gods from the National Gallery’s painting collection to life.
You can expect costumes, performance workshops a tea party and music.
The event is free to attend and will be family-friendly.
