Growth Mindset Workshop
Start Date: 5/2/2020
End Date: 5/2/2020
1G05, Dalhousie Building Add to Calendar Organiser: Careers Service email@example.com
This session introduces the concept of Growth Mindset.
It is based on the work of Professor Carol Dweck, an American Psychologist, who found that we all have different beliefs about the underlying nature of ability. Those with a Growth Mindset believe that intelligence and abilities can be developed through effort, persistence, trying different strategies and learning from mistakes.
Come along and find out more! By the end of this session participants will: Develop an understanding of mindset theory and have practical tools to use; Go beyond the theory of mindset and explore the different mindsets and where they exist in life and work; Understand their own mindsets, change behaviours and attitudes where you want to and guide you in a way that you could introduce this work to others; Give you a clear understanding of how you can apply growth mindset in your own learning/professional contexts in order to help those with whom you work with.
Target Audience: UoD students, all disciplines welcome.
N.B. There will be no admittance to this session after 13:10.
