SNHS Research Seminar - how co-production and co-creation is viewed, understood and implemented

This seminar presents findings from a collaborative research project conducted between UWS and SISCC which examines how co-production and co-creation is viewed, understood and implemented by those tasked with leading health and social care integration.

Interviews with those leading integration programmes within health and social care areas and national policy actors inform the study. The project finds that there are several and significant challenges with both the recognition and implementation of co-production and co-creation within the health and social care system. The challenges include the impact historical legacies, contradictory policy narratives, the availability of local support, conceptual and discursive looseness, and a cluttered landscape of national organisations.
