Scottish Country Dancing Taster

An introduction to ceilidh and traditional Scottish country dancing with the University's Scottish Country Dancing Society.

Whether it’s the Gay Gordons or the Virginia Reel, a range of ceilidh dances will be introduced, as well as including more traditional Scottish country dances.

The Society runs classes during term-time with the aim of improving dance skills and technique and there is the possibility of taking part in demonstrations when visiting other universities and community groups. Often attracting a range of people from different backgrounds, the classes are also an excellent opportunity to build new friendships.

Following on from this taster session, the first class will be at 6:30pm on Tue 17 Sep, on Floor 5, DUSA.

They will continue on Tues evenings during the academic year.
