We are the Campus: Mapping the MSc in Digital Education – from Moodle to Minecraft, from Melbourne to Mumbai
This presentation draws on the work of the MSc in Digital Education and the Centre for Research in Digital Education at the University of Edinburgh, where teachers and researchers developed the ‘manifesto for teaching online’ (2011 and 2016). Drawing on her experiences with the Digital Education programme over the last 10 years (as student, tutor, and programme director), Dr Philippa Sheail will explore the development of online teaching at Edinburgh through a selection of manifesto ‘provocations’.
Dr Philippa Sheail is a Lecturer in Digital Education at the University of Edinburgh, and Programme Director for the MSc in Digital Education. Her research interests are interdisciplinary, based in the area of digital and higher education, but drawing on organisational theory, cultural geography, and social theories of time.
This seminar is part of the Sharing Good Practice Programme.
