Research Methods and Transformation Social Change

Start: 20th June, 14:00 – 16:00pm Location: Dalhousie 1LG03 Speaker: Dr Victoria Jupp-Kina, School of Education & Social Work, University of Dundee Research has the potential to instigate, inform and promote social change. While the notion of impact is now recognised and placed centrally within the social sciences, further work needs to be done to recognise the multiplicity of ways that impact can occur. This seminar will explore impact as process as well as outcome, providing space for reflection on the varying ways in which social change is conceptualised across higher education and how this affects how social science research is framed and understood.
