How we use your information
To respond to your question about studying here we require some of your personal data.
The personal data you provide will be used to respond to your question, to send you a printed copy of our prospectus (if requested) and if you have consented, to us sending you further relevant information about studying at the University of Dundee.
Should you become a student of the University the personal data you provide may form part of your student record and be subject to the University’s normal terms and conditions. If you do not become a student of the University we will anonymise your information in due course and it will be used for internal monitoring and reporting.
We will respect your preferences concerning the ways in which we may contact you. If you wish to update these at any time, please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The personal data we require is first name, surname, postal address and email address. Depending on the nature of your enquiry your interests or subject preferences may also be noted against your record.
Sensitive personal data
No sensitive personal data is required from you in the completion of this form.
The data controller for your personal information is the University of Dundee. Your data may be processed by the University’s nominated agents such as software or service providers. This may include the processing of your information outside the European Economic Area. To process your request, we may use a number of software services, including Stakeholder Management (to store the details of your enquiry), Outlook (to respond to your enquiry) and Campaign Monitor (to send newsletters, if you have consented).
The University asserts that it is lawful for it to process your personal data for the purposes detailed above in its legitimate interests and that any processing is without prejudice to your rights and freedoms.
The University asserts that it will be lawful for it to process your personal information after 25 May 2018 in the exercise of its official authority and/or further to the contract (or potential contract upon enquiry) between you and the University.
