The English programme invites applications for two full-time PhD Studentships funded by the School of Humanities. These studentships provide for a partial tuition fee waiver of £1,500 per year and a £4,000 bursary for each year (amounting to £16,500 over the three years of full-time study*).
The profile of research-led study in the English programme is very wide, and incorporates Film Studies and Comics and Graphic Novels alongside traditional English topics. Applicants are invited to view the English staff webpages to review the research areas being pursued within the programme.
The deadline for applications for the PhD Studentships is 17 August 2012, with interviews taking place on 27 August 2012, and an expected start date of 10 September 2012.
Further information, including the application forms, is available on the School of Humanities website.
(* Tuition Fees for full-time PhD study are currently set at £3803 per year over three years for Home/EU students, and £10,500 per year for Overseas students.)
