Welcome to the University of Dundee's public engagement web pages.
The University's commitment to public engagement is communicated in our Public Engagement Strategy. The Strategy sets out how we support our staff and student to engage with audiences, communities and organisations. To find our more about how we support and embed engagement you can visit our Embedding Engagement page.
Our central public engagement team work with staff and students from all Schools and Directorates, and with partner organisations across Scotland. We recognise the importance of sharing and involving others in our research, cultural engagement and scholarship.
We provide advice and training for staff and students looking to engage with public audiences. Each year we run regular events such as Discovery Days, Bright Club, Dundee Arts Café and Café Science Dundee, to support the development of skills and confidence.
Alongside our community partners, we lead the University’s community engagement programme.
The University of Dundee is committed to making a difference to the lives of the people of Dundee, Tayside and Scotland. We work with communities, schools, third and public sector organisations across our city and the region to support their aims and needs.
