Support for Distance Learning Students

Disability Services offers confidential support services to all disabled students whether they are studying on campus or at a distance. Please contact us so we can discuss your particular requirements and to arrange the support you require. Please note that you do not need to register with Disability Services in order to speak to one of our Advisers in confidence.

How is support arranged for distance learning students?

Depending on your individual disability-related needs, we can provide the following support:

How can I access assistive software from home?

‌How can I access mental health support?

* Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we are unable to issue loan equipment or arrange dyslexia screening/diagnostic assessment as all Disability Services' staff are working from home in line with the Government's COVID-19 requirements and the University's COVID-19 guidance. Further information on diganostic assessments is available from the SpLD Assessment Standards Committee and from our Dyslexia Service.
