Disability Services purchased a Black Dog statue from the charity SANE, for adoption by the University of Dundee community.
SANE aims to improve the quality of life for anyone affected by mental illness. The Black Dog campaign aims to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness and encourages people to seek help early.
The University Rector, Mark Beaumont, kindly agreed to choose our SANE dog's name from suggestions made by students and staff. Mark chose the name Hope.
Hope's coat was designed by one of the University's Nursing students.
Hope visits various venues across the University to promote and maintain awareness of mental health throughout the year
