Work on display: Product Design

Product design involves conceiving objects or new products that create new experiences or enrich the quality of life for people. These products could have services behind them, and could be interactive and digital, but we are more interested in the people we design for and with; values that we share with the Social Digital group, alongside Digital Interaction Design and Interior Environmental Design. This year projects range from a lighting system for the luxury hotel market, supporting diabetic travellers by keeping their medication at a regulated temperature, to an Internet of Things product that responds to your swear words and donates your money to charity; and a ceramic tattooed hand that educates people about the history and acceptance of tattoos.
