Cassia Dodman

Elevating and juxtaposing quotidian objects, my work assembles as active sculptures that move, quiver, permeate, repeat - where presence and proximity ignite apprehension amidst playful action and tension. Common objects form a viable language, as allegorically they cooperate with made structures, becoming subversions of the purposively functional. These compare vivacity and liberation with futility and pointlessness in a humorous or hypnotising manner, while building a scene that is only just abstained from a universal point of release or collapse.
