Studentification is a significant social phenomenon in the UK, and it is an ongoing process in Glasgow. The modern city is a patchwork of heterogeneous fragments. In this project, I use the seasonality from the concept of heterotopia as methodology to identify the specific problems in the High Street student enclave. The redevelopment of High Street station is the result of the site analysis. In this proposal, the new station will not only work as a node, but also a heterotopia, a place in the city, moreover, with the continuous landscape from the heritages to Glasgow Green, the broken parts in the enclave could be reconnected and regenerated, lead to solving problems caused by urban fragmentation. The picture shows the study on how infrast.ructure projects work as a heterotopia and how they are used to regenerate the surrounding environments.

The first image shows the precedents study for infrastructure projects from which I know how infrastructure interventions regenerate the fragmented urban space and how they work as a heterotopia. The redevelopment of High Street station is the result of the site analysis.
